Stendhal Festival is Northern Ireland’s biggest and best grass-roots music and arts festival.
With performances from the likes of Basement Jaxx, Embrace, The Wailers, Ash, The Magic Numbers, The Hothouse Flowers and the Ulster Orchestra taking place over Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady, there is certainly plenty of musical variety but did you know that the festival also has a dedicated family programme that caters to children and families of all ages?
Such is the focus on the family aspect of the festival, Stendhal has won awards naming it Ireland’s Best Family Festival over the years and organisers of the event are keen to improve the family and children’s entertainment offerings each and every year.

POKE Theatre is the collective creative output of creators Emily Mc Donagh, Michael Mc Evoy and Rosie Mullin. Their work ecliticly mixes the disciplines of contemporary dance, circus and jazz. Influenced by the art of theatrical comedy and storytelling. Their site specific pieces are a festival for the eyes. Not defined by a particular aesthetic or tied down by the hierarchy of classical dance; POKE approach dance as the art of self expression.
Together they are artistically ambitious and dedicated to breaking boundaries if dance… and separately, they can barely manage being adults.
