At Stendhal we like people to get involved, to try new things and view things from a different perspective, with the hope that you learn, or are inspired, or find a new interest! There are two separate activities aimed at kids and the Ray Mears’ amongst you adults.
We think Ballymully Cottage Farm, home to Stendhal Festival, is a beautiful spot, with the stream and forested area in Karma Valley and with views of Binevenagh. So when we heard about Phoenix Forest School we thought this sounds perfect! Why not get closer to nature and back to our camping roots. So have you –
“Ever heard of ‘Forest School’?
Lucy O’Hagan from Phoenix Forest school in Phoenix Park, Dublin, will be joining Stendhal to share some of her favourite forest school activities. This won’t be your typical forest school session- but this is no typical weekend!
Join Lucy and explore the festival site in a different way, through the eyes of a beetle or under the wing of a bird. We will be exploring and engaging with nature through woodland crafts, nature games, environmental art and play!
Come explore a green window into another holistic, playful world of learning.
12-3pm: Open to kids of all ages and their families.
4pm-5.30pm: Adults workshop including foraging, fire lighting, nature games.
Meeting Point: Annan’s Arch.
Happy foraging! TSx
