Roe Valley Residents Association welcomes Stendhal Festival food donation.

Roe Valley Residents Association in Limavady has passed on their thanks to Stendhal Festival for their recent donation of meals for the groups Christmas food delivery. Stendhal donated 80 meals made by Castaway Catering, which were delivered throughout the town from December 14th-17th as part of Roe Valley Residents Association annual ‘We Care at Christmas’ programme.
Roe Valley Residents Association, with support from Stendhal Festival, supported 160 young people, 60 families, and 90 older people through the provision of meals, Christmas food hampers and activity packs for the Christmas period.
Karen Campbell, Project Coordinator of Roe Valley Residents Association said the donation was “generous and timely,” in the lead up to Christmas.
“It’s a wonderful gesture from the team at Stendhal considering we know that they have had a very tough year themselves and we at RVRA would like to thank everyone involved with the Festival for such a generous and timely donation.”
Glenda Rolston, Community Outreach Officer at Stendhal Festival added: “ We felt that despite having a very trying year ourselves, we had to find a way to contribute to the incredible work Roe Valley Residents Association do with their annual food delivery.
“This was in part possible due to the generosity of those who purchased Stendhal Tickets this year but waived a portion of their refund to help raise some money for this food donation. So a massive thank you to those who did so.”
Glenda concluded: “Having worked with Castaway Catering and owner Roger Robinson and his team for years now, we know that the meals provided are absolutely delicious and that people will really enjoy them. We hope that this will go some way to brightening some peoples’ Christmas, if only by taking a little bit of pressure off in any small way.”
