Stendhal Mini – Update 2016 – FAQs

  1. OPENING TIMES

Gates will open at 3pm on Friday 12th August for all campers and festival goers. Tickets may be available to buy at the gate. Gates will close at 10pm – strictly no re-entry after this point.

Saturday gates will open 10am and close at 10pm. Again, strictly no entry after this point.

  1. ON-SITE CAR PARKING

Access to the on-site car park is for patrons who have purchased a weekend camping pass only – no vehicles other than those staying the weekend will be allowed access to the site car park.

Cost to park for the weekend is £4

DROP-OFF: those who are getting dropped off for the weekend must be dropped off at the drop-off point just beside the main entrance on the Ballyavelin Road to make your way on site on foot or you will be charged the weekend rate.

***PLEASE NOTE that queues are likely on Friday evening***

  1. DAY PARKING – £3– 

For those who have purchased a DAY TICKET, our day car park is located at the field right at the corner of the crossroads of the Drumsurn and Ballyavelin Road (Beside the Church – it will be sign-posted.)

For these DAY TICKET HOLDERS this is a manned-security car park. Security will be in situ until 2am.

 

  1. DISABILITY CAR PARKING

We have a small area suitable for Blue Badge holders, but to guarantee a reserved space you must contact us on info@stendhalfestival.com before Thursday 11th August.

 

  1. SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE – FROM LIMAVADY BUS DEPOT

Our donation-only shuttle bus service will be running from the car park behind the Limavady Bus Depot to the drop off point at the main site entry.

 

Running Friday every hour:

from 4pm – 8pm; ***TO THE FESTIVAL SITE ONLY (NO RETURN TO TOWN)***

10pm -2am: ***TO THE TOWN ONLY (NO RETURN TO FESTIVAL SITE)***

 

Running Saturday every hour:

From 11am – 5pm; ***TO THE FESTIVAL SITE ONLY (NO RETURN TO TOWN)***

10pm – 2am : ***TO THE TOWN ONLY (NO RETURN TO FESTIVAL SITE)***

 

 

  1. CAMPERVANS / CARAVANS / MOTORHOMES / TRAILER TENTS

DO NOT bring any of the above on site unless you have previously purchased a Camper van / Caravan ticket – You will NOT be allowed on site. No exceptions. Please note that only small touring caravans and campervans will be permitted.

 

  1. CAMPERVAN TICKET HOLDERS

You will be situated in a brand new area behind the family campsite.  There is a new roadway for access but you will be parking on grass. You should ensure you arrive no later than 12noon on Friday for traffic management purposes. No electrical hook up can be provided this year.

 

  1. ALCOHOL

Only those visiting the festival with a weekend camping ticket are permitted to bring their own alcohol on site. This must only be consumed in the campsite – security will stop anyone bringing their own alcohol from the campsites into the main arenas.

 

The alcohol allowance remains the same as previous years,

12 cans and 1 x 2 litre plastic bottle PER TICKET

OR

12 cans and 1 x small box of wine PER TICKET

 

*****THIS YEAR YOU WILL HAVE ONE OPPORTUNITY ONLY TO BRING IN ALCOHOL TO THE FESTIVAL SITE; SECURITY WILL ALTER ALL WRISTBANDS TO NOTIFY THAT ALCOHOL ALLOWANCE HAS BEEN USED, WHETHER THE LIMIT HAS BEEN EXCEEDED OR NOT**********

 

  1. All alcohol must be stored in plastic bottles.

 

 

  1. NO DOGS (Except Guide Dogs)

Please do not bring any four-legged friends to the event – It’s not that we don’t love them, it’s for health and safety reasons. Anyone who brings a dog along will not be allowed to bring them on site. Only those dogs to assist the visually impaired will be admitted entry. No exceptions.

 

  1. ATMS

There are NO ATMS on site – PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE TICKET OFFICE IS CASH ONLY – NO CARD SERVICE AVAILABLE, SORRY.

No cash is sorted or stored on site and CCTV is in operation at all times.

 

 

  1. WATER

ONLY SEALED WATER BOTTLES MAY BE BROUGHT ONTO THE SITE. THERE ARE TWO WATER POINTS AVAILABLE FOR REFILLS.

 

  1. BBQ

Only FAMILY TICKET Weekend Holders are permitted to bring a DISPOSABLE BBQ. This must be used only in the designated area in the family campsite. No gas canisters are permitted. No exceptions.

 

  1. FAMILY TICKET HOLDERS

No kids, no entry, & adults must be aged 25 and over, when responsible for children over 10. We reserve the right to ask ID of older kids.  There are no refunds or exchanges for tickets.

A family fast pass entranced is available for all family campers but tickets must be purchased before entry at this point.

 

  1. GENERAL WEEKEND CAMPERS

You are NOT permitted to bring Gas Stoves or Disposable BBQs on-site. And are not permitted entry to the family camping area.

Campsites are patrolled by security but we suggest that all tents are locked when not in use.

 

  1. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING PROHIBITED ITEMS:

 

GLASS – including perfume and alcohol

KNIVES – please bring plastic cutlery

GAS STOVES/CYLINDERS/COOKERS

 

  1. DRUGS

We have a zero tolerance policy on drugs – should drugs be found in your possession you will be immediately escorted off-site and reported to the PSNI. Note than plain clothed officers will be in attendance at the festival.

 

  1. FIRST AID

A fully qualified team of First Aiders will be present on site for your safety and well-being, as well as Child Welfare. Those who suffer from any serious conditions or allergies should register with our medics on arrival. All medical bracelets should be worn at all times. There will also be a shop run by our First Aid team, selling condoms, sun cream and other supplies.

 

  1. LOST PROPERTY

All lost property enquiries should see the Main Ticket Office, at the main entrance.

Please read the website for information on first aid, the family programme etc. Emails and messages will be monitored infrequently during the festival itself. Where information is available on the website we may not be able to respond to your individual messages.
