What facilities are on site for families?

We all remember as kids getting stuck in the sand, the first time we went to the amusements, so don’t worry about a little rain and mud. Think of it as a chance to create life-long memories with your whole family, of all ages.

After winning Best Family Friendly Festival in the Irish Festival Awards, last year, we hope this shows how Stendhal isn’t your typical stereotypical image of a festival. In fact our attendees tell us that Stendhal has a nicer vibe because of the number of families that come.

Why should families come to Stendhal:

For those with very young:

**This year we welcome the Mother’s Union on Saturday providing free baby changing facilities. Mats, nappies, privacy!

**In addition Cothú will be on site with their trusty wagon offering a restbite spot, breastfeeding support and a quiet space in the calm

**Family ticket holders are the only holders allowed to bring disposable bbqs on site, to be used in the dedicated space, no gas stoves/canisters/bbqs.

**Free kids programme* with baby sensory, dancing, drama, facepainting, caricatures – have a look if you haven’t already at the blog http://www.stendhalfestival.com/family-programme-2015/

**Kids Cinema screening on the Friday night

**Gates open 3pm Friday. First music on at 5pm. Gates close 10pm Friday.

**Only tents, no campervans/caravans/trailer tents/motorhomes unless previously agreed and a separate ticket was purchased. THESE ARE SOLD OUT. You will not be permitted on-site if you do not have a campervan ticket and arrive with a caravan/trailer tent/campervan/motorhome.

**Drinking water tap on-site

**Reasonable food and drink, in case you fancy taking the weekend off.

**You are allowed to bring 12 cans of beer/cider & 1 x 2l plastic bottle of alcohol OR small box of wine, per family weekend ticket. This is the same allowance as previous years. You will not be allowed to bring drink into the arena.

**Fun-fair (not free)

**24-hour medical/security staff on-site – shop for toilet roll, insect spray, suncream etc!

**Separate Family Camping area, closest to the car park! Car parking for the weekend is £4 or there is a donation-only shuttle bus from Limavady bus depot.

**There is no ATM on-site

**10 stages, which are all covered – astroturf and paths and a big top! So don’t worry about the weather! No such thing as bad weather, only bad prepartion!

**Access to an array of arts to inspire children and young people, and maybe find something new to become involved too.

**For £75 weekend camping –  2 adults & up to 4 kids 17 and under go free (you may asked for ID for older children). There is no family day ticket, simply because the weekend ticket is cheaper than two adults on a day ticket, meaning camping for 2 nights and bringing kids in, is free. So bring a young cousin, or we know a lot of families, brothers, sisters use the festival as a met-up.

**There is also a single parent weekend ticket available online – for £45 and up to 2 kids 17 and under.

**Remember NO KIDS, NO ENTRY

**Bring wellies, and dry clothes. Tents get cold at night.

**Earplugs for sale in merchandise tent.

**Rain might happen, you may get muddy, but sometimes you have to try something a little different, so why not try Stendhal!
